Who is Kofi Hughes?

Kofi Hughes is a human-performance coach and former professional athlete with more than 11 years of personal training experience and over 12,000 coaching hours. Known for developing elite-level training protocols for professional athletes, corporate leaders, and high-achieving individuals, Kofi has built a reputation for transforming both performance and body composition.

A standout football player from Indiana, Kofi was named Gatorade Player of the Year and went on to play four years at Indiana University, where he was a three-time team captain—a rare recognition of leadership, discipline, and influence. After college, he signed with the Washington Redskins, then continued his NFL career with the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears. His time in Chicago led to a close relationship with All-Pro receiver Brandon Marshall, with whom he later launched Fit Speed in Naperville, IL (2015), delivering true NFL-level training systems to youth athletes.

Across his coaching career, Kofi has trained and mentored more than 250 athletes who have gone on to compete at the college level. His coaching combines sports performance principles, mentorship, and accountability—creating an environment where clients consistently perform above their baseline.

Today, Kofi serves as the Director of Wellness at 167 N Green St, where he continues to coach pro athletes, rising youth talent, and corporate executives seeking peak physical and mental performance.

Kofi's hobbies outside of coaching include photography, abstract expressionism, baking, and making the perfect chicken wings.
